The Laredo Economic Development Corporation is proud to present the 30th Pathways for Trade, The North American Logistics and Manufacturing Symposium in Laredo, Texas, September 20-21, 2023.
This year’s theme is entitled “Cold Chain: Supply Innovations and Trends” and will focus on top issues facing 3PLs and cold storage warehousing and the transportation industry.
We are excited to present renowned experts from across the country and the world to speak at this year’s special 30th Anniversary event as we highlight and focus on this trending industry in our region’s global trade and industrial sector including Ken Roberts, Founder and CEO of World City, Dante L. Galeazzi, CEO/President at Texas International Growers Association, Frank Briseno, Senior Director of Worldwide Operations at Mission Produce, and Tim Franciscus-Timm, Senior Manager, Business Development at U.S. Cold Storage.
Laredo has been the beneficiary of many significant cold chain expansion projects in recent years, and these include facilities and expansions from Mission Produce, U.S. Cold Storage, Sunset Produce, and Librado Pina, and also commitments from West Pak Avocado, and Lineage Logistics.
The investment from these 6 companies alone totals over $200M and they are employing hundreds of our young talented workforce with living wages and benefits. These examples are a testament to our successful efforts for business attraction and expansion initiatives supporting continued diversification, in this case, into value-added food handling and processing. Port Laredo is the No. 2 port for produce imports into the U.S., and we’re working to be No. 1.
