Laredo Delegation Traveled to Queretaro Mexico

October 23-25, 2024- A delegation from Port Laredo embarked on a landmark visit to Querétaro, establishing connections with key stakeholders and fostering new opportunities for cross-border collaboration. Representatives from the City of Laredo Economic Development Department, Bridge System, Airport, Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with the Laredo EDC President and CEO, David Stedman, represented both public and private sectors, aiming to strengthen economic ties and explore innovative partnerships.

The delegation met with Querétaro’s Secretaría de Desarrollo Sustentable to discuss initiatives that could benefit both regions. An additional meeting with officials from the Aeropuerto Internacional de Querétaro sparked conversations on enhancing air connectivity and promoting tourism, setting the stage for further collaboration to boost the travel and tourism sectors.

In a productive exchange with industry leaders from COPARMEX and CILQRO (Logistics Cluster), the delegation explored cutting-edge logistics solutions and strategies for economic growth. This meeting highlighted the potential for synergy between Querétaro’s logistics capabilities and Port Laredo’s transportation infrastructure, aiming to facilitate smoother cross-border trade and foster economic resilience.

The delegation expressed special gratitude to Siemens and Transpormex for their insights into current projects and innovations, which could serve as models for collaborative ventures.
