Gene Lindgren, President & CEO, was honored to be able to speak at the groundbreaking ceremony on May 4th, for the Laredo Heat Soccer Complex hosted by the Laredo Chamber of Commerce.  

The LEDC has been supporting this historic project since 2021 and wishes to thank the Vaswani family for their passion for soccer and the Laredo area. They continue to provide leadership to provide opportunities for our youth to develop their athletic skills, and even more importantly prepare their hearts and minds to be productive members of society.  The Vaswani’s have set aside a portion of their larger development to provide a showcase for the Laredo Heat Soccer Club, and the complex will allow their youth foundation to play on first-class fields. 

The complex will lead to regional tournaments, here in Laredo, rather than the teams having to travel hundreds of miles, and with the support of Consul General Mendoza, Laredo could be the host for international tournaments.
