The LEDC utilized close relationships with the Laredo Region Workforce Development stakeholders to host an extensive review of our community’s programs and began conversations that could lead to enhancements and capacity expansions to make the Laredo Region even more attractive to prospective investors and end-users.
SE Legacy Development is creating a 13,000-acre master-planned community in Webb County, just north of the Laredo City limits, to be named Talise, whose name has roots in Native American culture meaning Lovely Water.
The Legacy representatives understand the importance of a comprehensive approach to industrial and residential development which includes workforce development and attractive affordable workforce housing.
Attendees included key representatives from the LEDC, MileOne, TAMIU, Laredo College, Webb County Economic Development, Workforce Solutions, and Laredo Job Corps.
