As Laredo continues to grow, so does the quality of life for the people of Laredo as well as visitors.

You cannot visit Laredo without going to our multi-use Sames Auto Arena to watch one of the many entertainment events held at our world class event center.

The Washington’s Birthday Celebration continues to be one of the things many Laredoans look forward to every year.

The 1,400 + acre Lake Casa Blanca International State Park is a great place to get close to during the hot summer months.  It is home to some of the area’s best hybrid bass fishing.

 

The PEG Energy Stadium is the home of the Laredo Heat Soccer Club
The Uni-Trade Stadium is a baseball ballpark in Laredo and it is home to the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos. The stadium is also used for youth soccer leagues, youth, and prep baseball games, along with other youth sports.

Laredo Country Club–18 hole championship golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, racquetball, sauna, superb dining and banquet area- 600 members.

Max Mandel Golf Course—Situated on 273 acres of typical South Texas Mesquite land. Holes of 8, 9, 15, and 16 play directly alongside and overlooking the Rio Grande. It has a par 72 golf course that has an excellent balance of drama,  playability, risk, and reward.

The Cathedral of San Agustin is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Laredo.  It is located in the heart of the downtown area in the  San Agustin Historical District.  The present church building dates from 1872.  As of 2000, the cathedral was the mother church for 289,415 Catholics in the diocese.

The Laredo Center for the Arts coordinates, promotes, encourages, and supports the arts in the Laredo/South Texas area.
